LG has launched 2X Optimus, which is called the world’s first smartphone dual-core processors. Also introduced a white version of a previously unseen from the NVIDIA Tegra 2-powered handset. NVIDIA chip provides telephone H.264 video encoding and decoding capabilities and the ability to output video via HDMI 1080p. It also has support for dual display correctly.
In our hands-on with the phone at CES 2011, we found that the devices exceptional performance when playing HD video, and especially when it’s content delivery via HMDI output. However, at the same time, while the LG version of Android is adapted front-end functional emphasis on customization means the phone will initially only be performed Android 2.2. This impedes the ability of 2X Optimus fully realize the potential of its hardware.
