PlayStation phone is expected to start with the O2 UK network on 1 April. But things will not go as planned, according to Stuart Hibberd – head of the O2 testing team.
Smartphone, reportedly, had some software problems that need to be ironed out before it can hit the shelves. The delay is a precaution so that O2 customers do not end with a negative experience, Mr. Hibberd said.
XPERIA Play is scheduled to begin with all major UK operators on the first day of April. So far, software problems have been reported only with O2, so the launch date should be retained by Vodafone and Orange. This really could end up being a bad blow for O2.
Sony Ericsson XPERIA Play bound to release the O2 will be the exclusive white version so that should give the carrier at least a marginal edge. The actual release date is expected to O2 is a mystery so far. We hope not too long.
