Nokia is known for its range of compact and sleek mobile phones. The company has recently launched a number of handsets into the mobile phones markets that have got wide public acclaim the world over. Most of its current devices do not weigh more than 120 gm. Nokia’s high end smart phones have become a status symbol for many. One may find individuals around her or him who are die hard Nokia fans. Some individuals always buy the latest model of a Nokia handset as soon as it is launched into the markets by the company.

All of Nokia’s N series mobile phones come equipped with a camera and a built in web browser. They also feature a high resolution display. Most of them sport a touch sensitive TFT display with an intelligent T9 text input application. Some handsets have a full QWERTY keyboard with well spaced keys. The handset’s Bluetooth support will allow the users to download files and transfer data to and from the phone at a much faster rate with other Bluetooth compatible devices. Its music player supports MP3, MP4 and other popular music file formats.

The N96i is reported to be having 4 GB of built-in memory that could also be expanded by using a microSD memory card in case of a memory shortage. The handset will soon be available in the markets around the world. The device will come packaged with a wall charger, a battery and a USB cable.

On the other hand, Nokia N98 is a smart phone which is expected to be loaded with many useful multi media features. The handset reportedly features a 7 mega pixel camera which is equipped with a Carl Zeiss lens. It reportedly has x5 optical zoom and x20 digital zoom. The device is said to feature a 3.5 inches, 16 M colours VGA touchscreen display. It would be running on a Symbian S70 (3rd Edition) operating system. The handset is reported to have support for Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and HSDPA connectivity. It is reported to be equipped with a Global Positioning System (GPS) receiver and a Graphics Accelerator.

The N98 would come packaged with an international battery charger, a Bluetooth headset and a reference manual. It would initially be sold in back colour. Some more variants of the device in other colours may also be launched by Nokia in due course of time. Both N95 and N98 have been developed keeping in mind the requirements of fashion conscious and high profile individuals. These two smart phones promise a never before mobile telephony experience to the users. Like the other N series handsets, these two handsets will be compact and light weight. The handsets will soon be available in the UK markets with a Nokia warranty . The company is known to offer excellent after sales service to its users.

Both Nokia N96i and Nokia N98 mobile phones have not yet officially been released by Nokia Corporation. However, some cloned models of these two handsets are being sold in Chinese and some other markets of the world. Nokia says that the two handsets will soon be available for sale in the markets the world over. One can also acquire these handsets under various mobile phone deals that are announced by the retailers in the UK from time to time. These Nokia N series handsets are sure to appeal to a fashion conscious user as they have a sleek and smooth look.

As someone who played with mobile phones to life, has taken the phone in my face honestly one of my biggest fears. The list is pretty much done:

1. After my passport stolen in various international trade fair
2. CES show up without pants
3. With a cell phone exploded in my face

This man was (allegedly) living my nightmare. No, no, not the entire CES-without-pants thing, the third. According to this report 4 Fox (video behind the cut), his second Droid Motorola decided to pause in the first… by exploding (again, allegedly) in addition to his ears.

Motorola says it in men, and they examine what can happen. Although they almost certainly not, I hope that Motorola’s shares of their excavation, I’m sure more questions about everything. What would explode with such force near the ear? If the phone, capacitors will probably not boot (the couple said there was still work) if this is the battery, it will be on totally opposite sides of the phone.

Nokia N81 8GB Joins the N-Series Nokia N81 With Added Memory

The N-Series range from Nokia is the manufacturers showcase for the latest technology and design to emerge from their research and development warehouse, however one cannot help feeling that that some of their efforts seem to be more about making extra revenue than listening to the customers needs.

The question here is simple, why release a new model that will be followed by a better version only days afterwards?

The first example of this new tactic from Nokia was the release of their pinnacle handset, the Nokia N95. The handset was available on the UK market for a good few months before the manufacturer then released a second version with a bigger memory, larger screen and longer battery life, why did they not just wait until they had perfected the model?

Well, industry insiders will tell you that the race to release 5 megapixel camera phones was extremely hot at the time of the Nokia N95′s debut and that the manufacturer was racing to compete with the competition to get their first 5 megapixel camera phone to market. As it happened, they were beaten by Samsung with their G600 model and closely followed by both LG and Sony Ericsson with their KU990 Viewty and K850i handsets.

It has been said that in order for the manufacturer to retain its credibility within the mobile phones arena it had to rush the release of hte Nokia N95 model and so then went to work on improving it.

We are now seeing a similar scenario with their latest addition to the N-Series range but for slightly different reasons, this time it is the turn of the Nokia N81. Rumours suggest that the manufacturer has again had to rush the release of the handset in order to launch before the impending and much hyped debut of the Apple iPhone.

Both handsets are very much multimedia orientated, offering the highest quality music players but the N81 is far more than just a music player, it offers the latest version of the original N-Gage gaming platform first seen in the handset of that name giving it a distinct edge over the iPhone.

On the flip side, the iPhone has had so much media attention and has already been rolled out in the U.S. that it is by far the most wanted of the two devices.

To counteract this Nokia have made a very confusing move, they have released both the N81 standard handset alongside the new N81 8GB upgraded version with the extended memory, the only reason a potential customer may choose the standard version would simply be that they cannot afford the higher price of the 8GB version and considering the price gap is small in comparison it seems that the majority of consumers will indeed opt for the newer version – a strange move because the manufacturer is unlikely to sell many standard units at all.

There are no other differences between the two models, the standard N81 comes with a 2GB memory card in the package which will hold up to 1000 songs whereas the N81 8GB comes with a built-in 8GB of memory.

This all makes the task of choosing a new mobile phone to suit a customers needs even harder and more frustrating for the shopper. In order to match a new handset with the features and specifications required and a tariff and network combination to get the closest to the customers usage is fast becoming a minefield that will take hours of research. The Nokia N81 and N81 8GB are now available, so the manufacturer has beaten the competition to market, the new Apple iPhone is due for release on November 9th with many online retailers and networks already taking pre-orders.

The look of this business phone from Nokia is a surprise in itself. As opposed to the usually bulky offering from Nokia, this 115 grams stylish slide business phone is a welcome change. Not riding on the QWERTY keypad or its flip open communicators this phone is light function based and is even trendy. The screen is fairly large and boasts 16 million colors; Nokia E65 mobile self-adjusts itself to the outside light and thus is visible in most surroundings.

The phone also has a 2 mega pixel camera, which gives decent imaging options and clarity. It is not a complete multi media phone and thus its camera is not the thing one should be looking for while buying the phone, there are other better offerings for the camera enthusiasts. The phone supports POP/IMAP, SMTP, IMAP4 email clients and also supports RIM Blackberry connect. Nokia E65 mobile offers host of other email clients depending upon the operators. The phone pretty much handles the emailing and varied messaging requirements of the user like the instant messaging, MMS etc. Nokia E65 mobile phone also sports a music player which supports MP3/ACC file formats. The phone has a 50 MB inbuilt memory and supports microSD expansion. The package includes a 256 MB microSD card. The phone has GPS connectivity and maps can be downloaded for road navigation.

The connectivity options are umpteen and it doesn’t fall short of any of them. There is advanced multi-slot EGPRS for enhancing the speed of downloads, there is Bluetooth, Infrared and USB connection for the computer and also Voice over IP through its integrated WLAN. The personal information management is also powered with calendar, notes, contacts, to-do lists, small notepad which can be viewed while on a call thus not missing out on the important information one needs to retrieve. The talk time is not very convincing considering it is a business phone. nokia e65 offers only 3 hours of talk time and with applications like Quick Office the battery would need regular charging. The phone doesn’t offer to edit the Office files, thus it falls flat regards to the other business phones. But it tries to combine work and entertainment in a good design at a fair price. Not a highly recommended phone but works just fine.
