Motorola DEFY available in Germany

Announced one month ago, Motorola is now rough to hit the shelves in Germany by the retailer, The Phone House stores in Germany. Android phone is only available in Germany for now and can be purchased for 350 euros free of the contract.

Motorola DEFY is certified to IP67 protection against dust and water. Smartphone is water under water; it can stay submerged up to 1m for 30 minutes.

If you are looking for a good design and slim form factor that this is a miss. Resist a bit big and not so handsome, so base your choice on technical features alone.

Motorola DEFY is powered by TI OMAP3610 800MHz processor and runs the Android 2.1 (Éclair) operating system.

It comes with 3.7 inch TFT touch screen capacitive with the support of 16 million colors (480×854 pixels), Gorilla glass screen, touch-sensitive controls, MOTOBLUR UI with Widgets Live, multi-touch input method, and accelerometer sensor for UI auto-rotate Proximity sensor for auto turn.

Motorola DEFY against 5-megapixel camera with autofocus, LED flash, geo-tagging, image stabilization, as well as video recording capability.

Another important feature of the smartphone include: HSDPA 7.2 Mbps, 2 Mbps HSUPA, Wi-Fi 802.11 b / g, DLNA, Bluetooth 2.1 with A2DP support, microUSB v2.0, 2 GB of internal memory, 512 MB RAM, microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 32GB, 2GB card included), GPS with A-GPS support, stereo FM radio with RDS.

This unit has complete network integration with a variety of social services such as Facebook, Twitter, MySpace. It also comes with a full suite of Google: Google Search, Google Maps, Gmail, YouTube, and Google Talk.

Phone 1540 mAh Li-Polymer battery is rated by manufacturers for up to 6 hours and 40 minutes talk time or 240 hours standby.

If a smartphone is marked as a rough phone, it’s likely to be used in hazardous environments, so that Motorola also adds active noise cancellation with a special microphone feature that allows the owner to use the phone, even in a noisy environment.
