UK retailer Play.com has listed the upcoming Sony Ericsson Xperia arch on the website, and is available with a handset for pre-order. Xperia arc registered with the suggested retail price of £ 499.99 for the subsidized version smartphone, while offering pre-order at Play.com £ 459.99 ($ 727). The release date listed for the handset is April 1st, but no official launch date has been confirmed by Sony Ericsson. Arc Xperia was announced at the Consumer Electronics Show earlier this month and billed as one of the world’s thinnest smartphone. This device has a 4.2-inch Reality Display, 8.1-megapixel camera, and support for video capture 720pHD, HDMI-out port and gingerbread Android OS 2.3. Sony Ericsson has not confirmed a release date or prices in any market, saying only that the arch will Xperia from the records “are available worldwide in selected markets, including Japan, compared to Q1.” Play.com ‘s release date for the second quarter shows that the UK may not be the first launch market for this device.
